I am fairly new to the CNC world and G-code. I use fusion for CAD and CAM. Prior to running the code I ran a few simulations in Fusion and openbuilds controller to make sure there were any issues. It didnt appear that there were any issues. But when I started to engrave there were a few issues that popped up.

    1. I set the zeros for all axis. When I started the job the z-axis plunged before it was supposed to.
    2. When the engraving was finished, the tool did not return to the original home. The tool didnt move up the z axis and ended up engraving and removing material to the place that wasnt the original home.

Attached is the g-code. If this isnt the right forum to get help with this issue, please let me know what y'all preferred forum for this kind of help is.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Your Z home is incorrect, Z home must be high up away from the work.
Move Z there then reset the Blackbox (rest button or disconnect/reconnect the OBControl)

Search these forums for 'fake the home' for more detail (there is a resource and many postings).

Or fit homing switches to do it properly without having to remember to fake the home
