I have been building my Lead 1515 for about a year now and am in the final stages. I am using the Interface Touch with the black box and figuring out the workspace measurements so I can input the date for the machine in Fusion 360 to eventually flatten, groove and put in dogholes into my spoilboard. After homing X and Y I moved to the furthest position and recorded the X and Y position from the interface touch X = 950mm or 37.4016") Y = 1035mm or 40.748) These are not even close to the actual measurements. X= 1250.95 or 49.25" Y=1306.5125 or 51.4375" Is there something that needs to be adjusted mechanically or configured within the interface or black box that I missed or is this not really going to cause me problems?
Yes, you need to calibrate your axes. Download the Openbuilds control software (OpenBuilds Software - FREE Software for CNC Control: OpenBuilds CONTROL and OpenBuilds CAM) and click on the "wizards and tools" box.
Thanks for your insight. I downloaded the software as you referred and ran the program for the lead 1515 in the interface and not only is it accurate now but holy cow is it faster. Before it was taking me 5-6 min to traverse across the axis and now it's about 15-20 secs.
