I have been a contractor and woodworker for many years and finally pulled the trigger on a CNC router. After countless hours of trolling the web, I finally decided on the Openbuilds Workbee 1510. Just placed the order a few minutes ago and I'm crazy excited and apprehensive. Unfortunately, the BlackBox is out of stock so it will not function. Does anyone know when they are expected back? This will be a big learning curve, to say the least.

http://support.openbuilds.com/support/home will be best to check actual ETAs but probably not long

In the meantime, checkout our Youtube channel for some videos that dive in depth into the machines https://www.youtube.com/user/OpenBuilds

Congratulations and good luck putting the WorkBee together! I just completed the build this past Friday. While I am thankful for the two instructional videos, I noticed some mistakes. Besides the poor camera angles that show more of the builder's arms and hands, be mindful of the following.

    1) In the video the Z-Axes build section is upside down at first and then it is magically right-side up

    2) When putting the frame together, add one extra T-nut in the rear, where the controller will end up going.
This will be for the cable management ring. (It too magically appears, and adding it after the fact will involve tearing down most of the
    machine. (ouch!)

    3) When installing the belts, be ready to use Zip-Ties to prevent the belt from slipping. (These magically appear as well).

    4) Let Openbuild know if you are missing any screws. I was missing screws, a couple of spacers, and drop-in T-nuts. I ended up just
ordering some from the site. (You owe me $8, Openbuilds!!) LOL

Aside from that, the build went quite smoothly. I'm really quite impressed with the WorkBee 1510. Can't wait to see what you post in the forums!
