Hi, I try to generate GCODE for an ACRO laser, but CAM gives me a sort of milling toolpath with Z-moves and the motor all time on. Even after I selected the: Laser on and off- option in: Your tool initialization. What am I doing wrong ? Thanks, Tim PS I searched the forum, but couldn't find the answer.
Lasers can have a Z axes - used for mulipass cutting etc. So, from the above, it's as designed, unless theres some issue apart that it "has" z moves. Or is this a typo and you meant LASER on all the time? In which case, read gnea/grbl (you forgot to set $32=1) Do read the whole Grbl wiki, its a big goldmine of info

Hi Peter, Thank you very much for your quick reply. I will study the info you recommened. Best regards, Tim PS did you see the image I attached ? The tool path (green) in the viewport goes up and down 10mm for each line the laser has to burn. That seems not normal to me. Yes, I meant laser, but wrote mill because it looks like a mill path.
