I was doing some tests the other day and my Lead1010 seemed to behave predictably. Now i've created a few parts in Fusion360 and ran post process, etc everything appears to have behaved the same. However, when I jog my machine and set my origin point via the hand held controller, so xyz are 0,0,0, and then go to run the gcode file the bit wants to drive down in the z-axis below my set-zero point. I've double checked my model and my WCS for 0,0,0 is shown at the top corner of my stock. What am i missing here? I've even arbitrarily raised my z = 0 point way above my stock, set that point up in the air as 0,0,0 to see if it will run even up in space, but the Z still wants to drive all the way down below my stock. Help!
Did you remember to HOME? Fusion moves in both machine and work coordinates. Homing sets Machine Coordinates, Zeroing sets Work Coordinates. You need to perform both (homing first, as work coordinates are an offset from machine coordinates)
um no, i didn't. thanks for the quick reply! How do I set the home location? Can i do that with the hand held open builds controller.
Everytime the machine lost position. This includes power up, resets, aborts, alarms, and crashes Also any time you aren't sure if its homed. Rather home before Zeroing then you know it knows where it is.
