So, been plugging along building this machine from the kit i purchased, at the step in the video of building the z axis transmission. It tells me to put the 8mm bearing on after the lock collar and 8mm shim. Problem is, i dont see any other 8mm bearings in this kit besides the flange bearings. i have 2 other bearings, not sure what they are used for yet, but they have a black circle, dont fit over the lead screw, and dont look like the video.

is the 8mm bearing they are referencing suppose to be the flange bearing? i dont even see any other bearings listed on the parts list of what was included in the kit.

Flange bearings go on the tensioned axes, so no it should not be a flange bearing.

See video below from 1h38min onward for the Z axis assembly, follow along and check if you are missing something. The 8mm bearings mentioned are these: Ball Bearing 688Z 8x16x5

yeah, they sent me the wrong bearings. they sent 2 of the 625 2RS bearings. just created a support ticket in hopes of getting the right ones shipped out. Total bummer, been waiting for over a week to get this thing built and now i'm dead in the water until i get the right bearings.

    Thanks Peter.
