    Hi there,
In the Lead 1515 high Z mod the two X C-beams are placed as close to each other as they can be. The main X gantry and the slave X gantry are touching. This means the two C-Beams are about 45mm apart. It seems to a novice like me that rigidity would be improved if the two C-beams were spaced further apart, say 100mm or 150mm. This should reduce twisting of the Z axis in the Y direction.

Has anyone experimented with changing this design by spacing the C-beams further apart and if so is there a benefit?

    Thanks,
    Allistar.
