between cutting depths the tool raises and then lowers again, but it dosnt lower into the same position it where it rased its offset slightly and then when it lowers it then returns to the orginal position before continuing to cut the new depth, ive had a look at the settings on fusion 360 and I think I may have found the reason why. is it the lead in distance ive shown where I found it in one of the pictures if this is the problem is it ok to set the distance to 0 mm?
yeah, for a slot like that you do not want a 'horizontal lead in', obviously turn lead in off but, do try the 'ramp' feature, especially in hard materials. and for holes, use the spiral entry.
