Hi, I've searched this forum, but most of the post dealing with engraving seem to be about deeper carving that I am wanting to do. Basically, I have a LOT of wooden parts (beautifully cut on my new Workbee 1515) and I need to engrave them with part numbers (on my next airplane). What bit do I use? How deep do I cut for the lettering to be clearly visible? Speeds/feeds? Any help you can provide would be very welcome. Regards, Duncan
Engraving Bit Solid Carbide 45 Degree or Engraving Bit Solid Carbide 30 Degree Around 1mm should be visible. Or fill the engraving with a quick blast of spray paint then sand down the surrounding to reveal the filled lettering
