I was trying to decide on a controller that can do a rotary axis with Lightburn without having to swap wiring from one axis to another and then having to change the steps/mm. Lightburn docs state that if using GRBL pick the A axis (see below). So, if I am using the X,Y, and Z for normal engraving, then want to run a rotary along the x axis (no need for Y) can I put the Blackbox jumper so the Y and A are the same then in lightburn choose A and all the settings will always remain for A? I figure there is a chance I would have to unplug the Y stepper when using the rotary and unplug the A when using it as a normal engraver. Or, can I just not use a jumper at all so the A is on its own? Does this sound plausible? I was hoping someone here would know. Thanks!
