    blackbox x32

I have all limit switches hooked up and in control software they show as triggered when i activate them, both x,y and z - however, sometimes i need to trigger them several times before an alarm is triggered.

    any ideas?

    something else :)

I had some cheap chinese ones - swapped them out for some salvaged from an old ender 3 3d printer. And also tried some like these - Amazon.de

    same thing happening with all.

Alarm might not always be raised during testing (if still in earlier alarmed state won't popup again. Clear first), but if they test fine by hand, and Hard Limits are enabled they "should" work fine. If not swop in some Xtensions Limits from OpenBuildsPartstore.com

When the alarm state does trigger, I of course clear it before trying to trigger it again. So now I need to buy new switches to get this working? I mean, I really dont get it - in the troubleshooting tab i see the limits being triggered, but it does not always enter an alarm state. But hey, I will just keep pouring money into this hole

During a move, or during as a test?
Might be the testing method? (Testing while idle vs while moving etc)

    No, as I said:
They should work. Only if they really don't there might be an issue with them (lack of filtering, EMI, something) requiring replacement with the better switches. Its not so much about pouring money as sadly the second hands has some issue, incompatibility, something unclear to you, and to us. "IF" that is the case... Remote anyway.
    I also said
    - not too unexpected if its only during manual testing. Moves should always trigger alarm, but hand testing might under certain circumstances not.

Also, your BlackBox firmware is up to date right? docs:blackbox-x32:firmware_changelog [OpenBuilds Documentation]

i am unclear about the firmware version, but I ran the wizard, it installed something, and now it seems to trigger an alarm on every test. So I guess that solved it. thanks.
