HI ALL HOPE YOU CAN HELP
I HAVE A WORKBEE 1010 WHICH CAME WITH THE DUET CONTROLLER, I FOUND THAT IT WAS NOT
REALY USER FRIENDLY AND LIMITED IN INFORMATION, ON USING A ROUTER, PLASMA CUTTER,
LASER ECT, SO I OPTED TO CHANGE TO THE BLACKBOX CONTROLLER WHICH WILL HOPFULLY DO ALL THE ABOVE.

THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS THE LIMIT SWITCHES THAT ARE ON THE WORKBEE ARE THE MICRO TYPE 2 WIRE CONNECTION, I HAVE WIRED THE SWITCHES AS PER OPENBUILDS DIAGRAM GND TO THE LEFT TERMINAL AND THE OTHER TO SIG TERMINAL , BUT THE SWITCHES ARE SHOWING TRIGGERED ALL THE TIME IN THE TROUBLE SHOOTING TAB WHAT IS THE PROBLEM ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANKS IN ADVANCE

    MIKE

As @David the swarfer said - your limit switches will be normally closed switches - grbl by default expects normally open - read the section on $5 (and the rest of it for future reference).
    Alex.

Correct about the Limits Invert setting to use your old switches, but also, replacing only the controller, doesn't quite get you all the greatness of the OpenBuilds system, pair it with our Xtension Limit Switch Kit and other accesories like our XYZ Probe, Interface etc for maximum "plug and play" capabilities

We have a wizard for that :) - Wizards and Tools button on the main toolbar > Calibration menu

    Hello!
i Have the openbuilds x32 and openbuilds Xtension Limit Switch Kit, i am having issues with the Y and Z axis, the always remain on triggered and the Xin off.
They also seem to work 1 time out of 3, i checked all the wiring and it is ok

    1) provide a Grbl Settings backup for review
    2) provide detailed pictures of all wiring

Limit 1.jpg has the rubber insulator on the wrong side (thus switch pins shorting on metal frame, might even have damaged port). Rubber is to lift switch off the metal behind it. Can't see rubber on wrong side on other switches but check that its correctly installed on the others too

Stripped copper is too far back on almost all connectors. Exposed copper will create shorts when machine starts moving and tugging on wires. Trim before inserting into terminals

Limits related Grbl Settings looks correct.

Lets double check your Grbl Settings (i did scan through quick on my phone) did you change anything like $5 from its defaults? (Should be $5=7)
