Hi, I am making a CNC router for Foam industry and of course I need to use long End mills and when I used a spindle like in openbuilds machine ,the end mill chatters and I guess the internal bearing was harmed somehow because it make noisy sound.
So what is the solutions available to overcome such a problem.

Can you see if the bit "bends" while cutting? If so, the bit is too long. Slow down the feed rate. If possible, use heated foam cutter.

A longer end mill only exaggerates imprecision in the router as well of flex in the gantry. How long of an end mill are we talking about here? Also what diameter? Are you using a spindle or are you using a router?

Hi, Kevon, Thank you for your replay.

    I am using a 6mm end mill 15cm long and I used a router.
