Current set up is a 1500mm x 1500mm machine running delrin dual V wheels on open rail on all 3 axis and belt driven.
Bought it as a very expensive kit 5 years ago. Wish I knew then what I know now.
But I digress...I don't want to sink a ton of money into it but I feel like it's time to get rid of the v wheels and belts.
Can I mount linear rail to extrusions accurately? Do I need 2 rails on x and z and 4 on y?
What about screw driven? Can I use my existing plates? Then do you use acme or ball?
I know mgn rail probably isn't the best choice but wouldn't it be an improvement over v wheels?
