Hi all, I work between a couple of machines whilst designing and controlling my Lead 1010.

I have found that the Mac compatibility for both the control cam generator is struggling. The control software won't even open since the latest update. I am running the latest MacOS.

The cam generator requires a page refresh every time a change is made. Im using through the latest version of safari.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received

you can find older versions here: OpenBuilds/OpenBuilds-CONTROL
But so far hasn't had any other reports about this not working and according to Github Release Stats
Surely of the 123 people, someone else would've said something by now? Any chance its local?
    - Did you allow the unsigned application from Security
    - Uninstall, reinstall

We highly recommend Chrome - available on all OS's, and works universally the same, best JS engine there is

Hey Fellas' (workbee + Blackbox user here)
I installed FTDI 2.4.2 on Mac OS, however, I don't see FTDI in the dropdown menu.
    Any idea?

    Using the following system

Following was Just for the test,

I tried multiple times in Mac OS, however, it kept failing so I gave a try on Windows OS. This Windows OS system is installed on the same Mac system as mention above via Paralleles.

I installed Control software + FTDI V2.12.28 and its working fine on Windows OS. I noticed that once I am running control software through Windows OS and if I jumped back on Mac OS then I can see FTDI (off course it will say the port is busy - lol) but once I closed control software in windows OS then it disappears from the MAC OS as well.

I want to run my system via MAC (not Windows) any help will be appreciated.

    Cheers

Below 1st image is Windows OS and 2nd is Mac OS.

We get the list of ports from the OS (using Node SerialPort · Node.js package to access serial ports for Linux, OSX and Windows.) so not sure why the Mac is not showing the port
I have a macbook air, but its not nearby, will try and get it here for tomorrow to check

In the meantime, try removing the FTDI driver and using the Apple driver (contrary to the usual advice, maybe in later versions the default has fixed the issues that made using the FTDI driver the recommendation for the last couple years) and other than that the FTDI is very popular, a couple online searches for mac+ftdi might yield results. We know its not hardware as it works under windows, so must be something on the Mac

See section 4 of the BlackBox Documentation.
    See docs:blackbox-x32:install-drivers [OpenBuilds Documentation]

Inside the downloaded zip - please read the release notes first they have some instructions
