I have moved onto my new CNC machine from using the MPCNC for learning. I am using the OB BlackBox and Control and also using the Vetric Vcarve software. I have my machine up and running and if I tell it to move 100mm it moves the correct length in the X and Y. I have not measured the Z yet... I think it may be off. I try to then run this 160mm x 160mm pen test and when the machine runs it's running way larger than 160mm. OB Control is set to MM - when I export the file I am using the GRBL mm post processor. I am totally lost and not sure where to start. the machine I has has 12mm lead screws in X and Y
How much larger is "way larger"? Twice as large? Four times as large, 25.4 times as large? Is this a file you came up with and designed yourself, or one in the Vectric software package?
I finally figured it out. I had the incorrect steps but now it is updated and I ran the file and the pen test came out just as expected.
That is good. The first thing I would have suggested was the steps since you are using a different screw than most, but you said you sent it 100 mm and that is how far it went so I assumed you calibrated the X and Y.
