Hi Ya'll! Well, I finally converted my CNC Mogul Router over with all new Open Builds components. Before I fire it up for the first time, I would welcome some insight. I am attaching some pics, so my first question is on pic #1: This looks important, what is it and where does it go? The software is on a laptop, everything wired and ready to go. Again, haven't fired up yet, so if you have any suggestions of things I should be looking for I would appreciate it! Thanks!
Neither is important - the SD card is if you someday want to test drive GitHub - grblHAL/Plugin_WebUI: ESP3D-WEBUI backend for networking capable drivers/boards with SD card support Not needed normally, we recommend using OpenBuildsCONTROL from software.openbuilds.com instead - we do include the freebie just to be nice Checkout docs:software:openbuilds-control [OpenBuilds Documentation] The other little Jumper is only applicable to customers with old OpenBuilds Interface devices that they may want to hook up the newer BlackBox (Likely not relevant to you, but is documented as well) As its a custom machine, next job is Grbl Settings. Fire up CONTROL and connect to the machine. Then go the Grbl Settings tab. Select the nearest similar machine from the list to populate the fields lower down onscreen. There is also a CUSTOM option. Then scroll down and configure your specific machine configs - avoid changing values you don't understand (particularly things like pin inversions, idle delays, pulse lengths etc - our profiles sets that all for you) - you set things like Acceleration, Homing, Directions, Max Rates, Steps per mm: Learn more at Grbl v1.1 Configuration
