DONE! and its working! BTW carpet tape withs GREAT to hold down wood onto aluminum.. might need a chisel to free it! so GO SPARINGLY! lol and to celebrate!? a turkey pepperoni and mushroom pizza made in my commercial pizza oven at home!!! THIN FOR THE WIN!! mmmmm
ok well Im loving this CNC but ive been spending time mostly on fusion 360 and other things like my pizza oven mode lol so havent made a lot however, ive realized for me this is just a little small so I want to convert it to a C-Beam XL .. I saw some conversion info from Scott ore and thats exactly what I think I should do ! anyway I cannot locate a parts list to place an order,, any help? i could go slightly larger... i need around 18" x 28" or smallest that would do what I need 22" x 18" if this can do that it would be fantastic! Thanks! Dennis
The gap between a Mini Mill and a C-beam XL is just far too substantial to make a conversion worthwhile. And once you get there, you'll still have considerably less usable area than you seek. With the current sale that's going on you'd be best just to bite the bullet and grab onto a OpenBuilds C-Beam Machine - OpenBuilds Part Store or at least grab on to a few actuator kits and some lengths of extrusion and build yourself a simple fixed bed system using all the screws and connectors you can scavenge from your Mini Mill.
