hello everyone, I'm designing new plates. I'm trying to find what the distance should be for the mini v-wheels to ride on the outside of v-rail. Would anyone have the number? I found the +20.6 for standard wheels. Also any benefit to use eccentric spacers on both top and bottom? Is there a calculation to how many wheels to have on a plate? Thanks, Mark
12.0 + nominal extrusion width. Also for regular V-wheels 20.0 + extrusion width is generally the safest route.
Rick would you happen to know a good rule of thumb for screw lengths to use? I'm going to be using c-beam, wondering how far the screw should thread in?
When using the C-BeamĀ® End Mount 20mm screws are generally sufficient. These give about 10mm embedment into the end of the extrusion.
Get 25mm shouldered, spacers, crush washers and lock nuts. I suppose it depends what plates your using but I made mistake here also. Think Im go with 2 bolts per wheel and extra nuts for tightening as seems common they shake loose, maybe a bunch of crush washers.
