The Xpro V3 will drive a 2.5A stepper however the specifications on the NEMA 23 from Openbuilds is 2..8A. How does this work with three 2.8A steppers? It seems the Xpro v3 is under powered.

Actually it is the motor that will be under powered. It will behave like a 2.5A motor. This won't harm either the motors or the board you just won't get the full amount of oomph out of the motor. And while you're probably wondering why not just give the boards more power, it's not that simple. They would if they could but the chips for this level of board can only handle so much load.

Thanks for the reply. It seems most of the drivers are maxing out and the DRV8825 the more common but I want to make sure these run smooth and accurate.
