I purchased a Jtech photonics laser about a year ago and I broke the mount so I used his old mount as inspiration to work with the Xtension Limit Switches and a Nema 17 stepper motor. If this post violates any rules as it is a modification of an existing design please let me know and I will remove it. I printed the parts in PETG so they should be stronger than the PLA it was originall y printed with. I will follow up with some images of the Z Axis on my Acro.
@Peter Van Der Walt did the request for Open Control to include a step down for each pass like what lightburn has with its different layers?
CONTROL is just a gcode sender. But OpenBuilds CAM at OpenBuilds CAM Gcode Creator - Public Beta does have multiple passes, but as the default Acro design doesn't have a Z axis, those are multiple passes at the same height. (though CAM has an open ticket Laser Operations: Z Axis stepdown · Issue #42 · OpenBuilds/OpenBuilds-CAM on the todo, hasn't been added yet) We anyway recommend Lightburn for more advanced laser action. CAM is sort of the free, limited, easy to get you started option. Also see docs:software:lightburn [OpenBuilds Documentation]
Thank you for the reply. but OpenBuilds Cam was easier to get started. I will take a look at lightburn.
