Ran jobs with no problem all week and now about 3/4 through the job the Z AXIs stops. Restarted program and computer. Z AXIS works fine. I'm afraid to start a new job after ruining 2.

We need a lot more info to be able to help - to start with what controller, stepper drivers and control software are you using and what machine do you have?
What cad/cam software? Post your cad file and your g-code file please.
    Alex.

If its been in use for a while, intermittendly stopping motor could also be a symptom of a wiring break in the motor wiring

Futher to above advice, could also be an overheating stepper driver. Dial current down a little as a test
