Hey we have designed and built our first cnc machine. Have been 3d printing for a while but are getting our feet wet with this cnc. We are using a spark concepts xpro v2 and all the parts have been purchased from Open Builds. We followed the wiki instructions to install the driver and to download the sender program. We are using Universal Gcode Sender (Version 1.0.9/ Nov 11 2015) When we connect everything works great. Pressing the x, y, z button in both directions it all works correctly. We have not got it all calibrated yet but the movement is correct. We have a simple circle file and load it into the Universal Sender. This is to test the movement of the cnc. It works great until it hits 90 degrees then it reverses and follows the same 1/4 circle back to the start. from that point it seems like it make the third quarter of the circle but starting from the the original starting point. then when it hits the last 90 degress one of the axis goes the wrong way making a wave pattern. or a couple s's connected to each other. Getting pretty frustrated and dont know what else to try. Please help if you have any insight. I am hoping this is a stupid beginners problem. Thanks
please post the gcode file you are using, and the GRBL settings, and check that UGS has nothing in the ignore list (if that version has an ignore list). what version of GRBL is loaded on the Xpro? the latest is 1.1, if you don't have that, then get it and then try again. as for calibration, there is a resource....
