I'm planning to purchase a C-Beam linear actuator bundle from the OpenBuilds store. I plan to use the DQ542MA stepper driver driven by an arduino Uno running Grbl. This is only going to be a single axle and not a 3-axis CNC. My load on the gantry will be maybe 3 lbs or less but I need it to run reliably and for a long time. Since these steppers are 24-48V and I believe 2.6A, my question is whether I should power these using 24V or 48V? And should I set the controllers for 2.6A or will I benefit from running these a little lower amperage? My apologies if this has been asked before.
3A MAX, 24v into the driver is fine. Use a decent driver like our DQ542MAs The Motors have a detailed datasheet: NEMA 23 Stepper Motor - High Torque Series -> Image gallery -> Scroll to the right (direct link https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-itw...lsize_1__52520.1539714189.jpg?c=2?imbypass=on)
