I purchased an Openbuilds Workbee 1010 with Blackbox control in November of 2019 but, due to health reasons, was not able to assemble it until this month. I tried firing it up tonight but can't get any movement out of the stepper motors. The Control Software DRO indicates each axis should have moved a specific amount when I attempt to jog it, but the machine never moved. Homing does nothing. Limit switches work. I have checked every wiring connection. The Blackbox appears be be communicating with my computer (USB light flashes). Oh, something else weird, the power switch on the Blackbox appears to do nothing.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

    Steve

Machine profile loaded? (CONTROL - Grbl Settings tab > load a profile > save > Reset when prompted)
Or check PSU (115v/230v switch on the side, wiring, polarity, turned on, etc)

    Peter:

You nailed it! Wrong polarity on wire from PSU to Blackbox. I must have looked at that a hundred times and didn't see that it was switched.

    Thanks for your help!
