Loving my OB Blackbox and high torque servos on my custom 80/20 framed 48"x48"x8" milling router. Very exciting day, did some engraving and managed to cut my first piece that I designed up in Fusion 360. BUT there is a problem, or lack of knowledge on my part. I am a moderate to "slightly" advanced CAD designer with a few years of Fusion360 under my belt. Not too much I couldn't design with it.... I'd usually print or pass the 3D files on to those I designed for and never had to venture into the CAM end of things, which brings me to today. I was hopeful that F360 would output the G CODE in a form that would be ready for my Blackbox and Grbl... Yes, F360 does offer two flavors of Grbl g-code, but both seem to give me errors when using OB controller and software. Where can I look to learn, what I have to be aware of in Fusion CAM such that it will spit out code ready to run on OB? Thank you very much for your valued advice. Bob
Here you go: swarfer/GRBL-Post-Processor And a link to a recent discussion on how to use if if you dont know how: BlackBox Edit: Actually this is the correct link to the discussion: BlackBox
Instructions for installing it (as a cloud based) post processor here ; Fusion 360: grbl post processor install (the easy way) If I remember rightly I also posted the link in that thread to Autodesk's instructions for installing it as a local post processor (on your computer). Cloud based makes sense if you might want to access it from more than one device. Alex.
