Hello, I have just received two of the new version Interface modules. I see that they now have both MolexSL and RJ11 connectors on the end panel which is different to my original unit which only had the MolexSL connector. Both connectors are labelled with 5V, Tx, Rx and GND. My questions are:- Are these two connectors wired in parallel? Can I use either of them to connect to my GRBL controller or do I still have to only use the MolexSL. Thanks Colin.
BlackBox 4X uses the 4-pin cable BlackBox X32 uses the 6-pin RJ12 cable. For a short while there was a transition period where Interface hasn't caught up with the new standard yet (Only had the 4-pin port) - where we supplied a hybrid 4 pin (Interface) to RJ12 (BlackBox X32) cable with the Interface, but as of Interface V1.9 we let uses specify which BlackBox they have and ship the appropriate cable with it. If you have an X32 and a V1.9 Interface, the RJ12 cable is preferred. They are in parallel yes.
I have the original Interface and just upgraded to the X32 blackbox that has the RJ12 connection and not the 4 pin. Can you provide the wiring guide and instructions to get my interface working with the new blackbox?
Contact the store to get the correct cable: Support > New Ticket The new Interface has a 4 pin connector as well for backwards compatibility. Documentation is at docs.openbuilds.com/interface
