Did a quick test with screen record, works fine We don't provide tech support for Linux. As a linux user you sort of accept the need to manage your OS's permissions, dependencies, etc. Advanced OS for advanced users. Run from a terminal and check the logs, see whats missing and resolve it. We can't assist. CONTROL just calls the standard python esptool for you. If the board's been damaged you'd see the tool running and be unable to find the device (will tell you so in the log), your blank log indicated a more IT like issue. You didn't include the windows logs.
