Easiest to use a Windows PC

On linux you'll want to look at your python/pyserial dependencies etc

Did a quick test with screen record, works fine
    control test flash.gif

We don't provide tech support for Linux. As a linux user you sort of accept the need to manage your OS's permissions, dependencies, etc. Advanced OS for advanced users. Run from a terminal and check the logs, see whats missing and resolve it. We can't assist. CONTROL just calls the standard python esptool for you.

If the board's been damaged you'd see the tool running and be unable to find the device (will tell you so in the log), your blank log indicated a more IT like issue. You didn't include the windows logs.

Pretty standard grblHAL $I output there, but wondering if you are doing the bootloader step: Assuming you are following the docs? docs:blackbox-x32:firmware [OpenBuilds Documentation] and docs:blackbox-x32:faq-bootloader [OpenBuilds Documentation] if the relevant error as shown in the 2nd page appears in your logs
