Good afternoon folks, I have finally completed my Workbee 1010 build (had some missing parts and a damaged Y rail I had to get swapped out - OpenBuilds was great w/ support btw!) and when I turned off the BlackBox and the power supply, I noticed that the light on the side of the blackbox for the motors was still on. The limit switch lights come on when actuated as well as the XYZ Probe lights still work...even when both controller and power supply are turned off!? Is this due to a capacitor or something still holding juice inside the Bbox or power supply or is power bleeding through the power supply in a way it shouldn't? Any info y'all may have about this is appreciated. Thanks, Whittler
BlackBox's 5V rail can be powered off USB and 24V - so what you are seeing is 5V from the USB cable It allows you to keep Grbl "on" and turn power off to everything else - useful for debugging, setting up parameters without power on (safety), for the factory to program them without having to also hook up 24v, and a host of other uses - All normal
Ahh, ok. I was worried possibly there was a wiring issue and everything was slowly frying lol. Thanks for the info Peter!
