I ordered the touch plate but now I am wondering if it would work with Phoenix controller. It is grbl based and has output for probe. However the touch plate uses 3 wires and one of them is +ve . Can someone help and explain what voltage the +ve has to supply to touch plate ?

5v will do. BlackBox has high voltage inputs so can run the probe on 5-24v but if your controller is not protected with high voltage inputs, run it on 5v.

But it's also optional to power it, can run with Gnd+Sig only as well :)

Will work fine with any Grbl controller.
