I’m trying to connect the Duet Controller to the openbuild CNC software. but every time I open the connection I get this error and it closes down the connection. I tried on a windows machine and my Mac as wel. The com ports seems to find the DUET controller fine thus as soon as I launch the openbuilds software it says this… "No supported firmware detected" after that is closes the port..

I can reach the board over the same usb port using Yat, so the connection works fine..

    Could you advice..?

Why are you not using the Duet Web Control? Have you downloaded and installed the latest version of the firmware?
I have no experience of Openbuilds cnc software, but I am using Duet Web Control with my Workbee with no problems at all.
    Alex.
