To whom it may concern: I am running v1.0370 Openbuilds Control software with the OpenBuilds X32 BlackBox controller. Should I be checking for the latest GRBLHAL firmware on the hardware (controller)? Thank you for the assistance. Thank you for the excellent hardware and software.
yes, install the latest firmware from the Wizards and tools|firmware flashing menu in OpenBuildsCONTROL
Yes the version included is what we consider to be current / supported / no known issues / all compatible with CONTROL If you want cutting edge you can grab later builds from grblHALs Web Builder too
Hi Peter, Thank you for the information. How do I access the grblHALS Web Builder builds and how would I flash it to the X32? Thank you.
WebBuilder: svn.io-engineering.com:8080/?driver=ESP32&board=BlackBox X32 Flashing tool is in CONTROL under the Wizards and Tools menu. At your own risk
Thank you Peter, What added benefit would I get upgrading web builder? Would there be a performance benefit?
Not sure if this is the right place for this but I downloaded open builds control version. 1.0.370 and flashed the Arduino Uno R3 and it worked perfectly then later it updated to the current version 1.0.371 and I was doing some re flashing and I got continued failures. I fortunately had the previous version and I reinstalled and did get the Arduino to flash. in the newer version the black box X4 is missing and that is what the older version still has. I am new to this program and it is a learning curve, but i really need to know what the problem was ? a glitz in the new version or Arduino not supported
