Hello all, I have just built and tested my new OB LEAD 1515. I am very impressed so far. I am fairly new to CNC world. Here is the issue I am having. My workflow is to create a part in OnShape, export the 2D shape as a DXF (V14), open the DXF in Openbuilds CAM then cut the piece. However, when I open the file in OB CAM the shape is different, specifically several of the minor arcs are major arcs. I am very frustrated with this at the moment. I do not want to learn a new CAM software nor do I want to change my CAD software. I have included images of an example piece. Please advise.
docs:software:file-errors [OpenBuilds Documentation] - image shows Arcs that weren't converted to Polylines. Fix the file first
Peter, Thank you for your reply. I read the documentation that you provided. I made sure to "Export splines as polylines" and in Release 14. All this in the current version of OnShape and still it is not loading correctly. I brought the exported .DXF file into Inkscape and saved as .SVG. It loaded better, but it was loading as many different vectors and not a closed shape. So this is still not working. Please advise. Rick Phillips
