Good day. In the cam software I found the option: Pen Plotter. Can someone explain to me the principle of operation? Do I need a special adapter for my LEAD 1515?
Its for use with Servo based pen lifts. docs:blackbox:connect-rc-servo [OpenBuilds Documentation] No official adapters around but plenty of DIY ones on the forum and 3D printable ones too. Just a slide that drops pen onto paper under gravity, and lifts it up between plots using a cheap RC servo
Is your goal to produce art work, or just draw simple line drawings. I some times draw my parts and cut them out on paper so if I have small work stock I can center it and be sure it fits. I use a simple holder that has a sharpie marker in it. I then put the holder into the router collect. I use a simple engrave tool path with a 0.1 mm depth of cut. My holder is a 3d printed spring loaded holder that uses a 1/4 20 bolt which is placed in the collect. It is simple without any major modifications. Mine is similar to this one.
