So i am having issues with the corners of all my letters look8ng ugly and not square no matter which font I use. Everything is tight and square. Attached pics of what is happening. I am not sure what is causing it but it is def frustrating me.I am not liking the way it's turning out. Has anyone had this issue or possibly know what it is that I am doing wrong?

Are you zeroing on your spoil board ot work surface? Are you selecting the right angle for the v bit? Sometimes they are not what they claim. see the video below. It looks like you are cutting to deep, or the angle is not right.

I am zero at work surface. And using 90 degree bit also in which I am selecting. Will check out the video you posted now.

Strange effect - it looks like what might happen if the Z axis was not lifting when it gets to the corners of the characters?

The z axis is lifting correctly, i have upgraded to a ball screw and checked and checked and checked lol. Another forum suggested that I should use a 30 or 45 degree bit as the 90 degree bit is not appropriate for the size letters I am trying to do? I was also starting my depth not at zero (i did this on purpose for another reason) so I am going to attempt zero at exactly the material surface and try using a 30 or 45 degree bit after I order those and see what happens. Any other types of cuts I try seem to work fine. It's specifically v carving where I have an issue. Also the boards I've been purchasing from home depot are def warp but it's impossible to get any that are not. So that from what I'm being told has a huge impact with v carving.

Yes, warped boards are bad. I always surface my board to the thickness I want for the Vcarve using a surfacing endmill like this: 3 Flute Surfacing Bit so I know that my starting surface is flat and parallel to the X axis gantry.

Theres the main problem. The maths assumed Z zero as the exit point of the V-bit. So its not meeting up as a corner because you told it that surface is some distance further away.

It looks like your Z zero is set *below* the surface. See what happens when you set it correctly.
