What kind of plasma? If it a HF Start type, probably killed the BlackBox.

If its a blowback, could still be damage, but only if plasma wiring was wrong. Double check wiring, didn't use THC pins instead of Trigger on plasma side maybe? Did use Relay (not tool enable, or PWM on BlackBox side?)

    docs:blackbox-x32:faq-usb-connection-failed [OpenBuilds Documentation]

As you mention problems started after first use, my guess is plasma caused something

So it wasn't the plasma, but some other wiring that caused a short or some other mistake. Problems as soon as you added that wiring.

BlackBox X32 is fully backwards compatible. Restore your Grbl Settings backup from the old one, using latest version of CONTROL and it will adapt settings to grblHAL for you. Wiring mostly plug straight in, just toolhead wiring that has slight differences

Do find the wiring that killed the old one first though, or it might take out the new one the same way (and that sorts of damage is not covered under warranty)
