Hi I just put this together and the main power switch works when turned on but the Terminal Board Light the shines through the Open Builds gear logo doesn't light up. Is this a problem for the whole unit? Or is it maybe just the light itself? Looks like it's only purpose is for the logo and nothing more. Am I wrong? Thanks for any help.
It is just a power indicator light yes (one on switch indicates Mains is on, one behind the logo indicates 24v output is on. If you have 24v output, and only the LED is not working, then it is ok. However I suspect the LED is off, because the PSU is not properly powering up, usually a good indication that you maybe forgot the 115/230v switch on the side? I did what you said and all the lights work now. When the power switch is turned OFF the lights don't go off immediately. They stay on for 10 seconds and then slowly fade out. Is That a feature?
The led fade on switch off is normal - smoothed power supply has capacitor which discharges through the led and it's resistor. Alex.
