    Hi to everyone!

I explain my problem. I need to finish the configuration of my 2 axis Grbl cnc machine. My setup includes a Pibot controller board rev 2.3, two stepper motor drivers and four optical endstops, two for each axis. I'm using the software 'Openbuilds controller' to control the board and I have uploaded Grbl 1.1e firmware version on the microcontroller.
If you look at the screenshots I attach in this message, you can see that I set a maximum travel of 300mm on X in 'Grbl settings' but, when I give the command for a 150mm jog along X, the software displays 'error 15...'...WHY?!
I think this problem is connected with the firmware. What do you think? Can anyone help me, please? Thanks a lot!

    Did you remember to Home?
Soft limits relies on Homing to set Machine Coordinates first so it knows where that envelope is

Thanks for your answer @Peter Van Der Walt. Yes, I enabled 'Homing' before setting soft limits. I really can't understand why I have this problem!

@Peter Van Der Walt I select the option 'Home all', as you can see in the attached screen but nothing changes. Do you know what other procedure I should follow to Home it? Thanks

"grbl 1.2e?" You aren't running standard Grbl. Flash Grbl 1.1 Releases · gnea/grbl (also available in CONTROL > Wizards and tools > Firmware flashing tool for supported boards) or contact the vendor of your board for further support

@Peter Van Der Walt I'm using the 1.1e version, is this a standard one? I don't know why the message that appears after the error says '1.2e version'. However next monday I'll try the release you suggest me. I'll let you know what happens. Thank you so much!

    Not according to your screenshot

Please contact your Board vendor for further support
CONTROL is for Grbl 1.1 based boards, and of course for our own controllers mainly.

Consider getting a BlackBox: https://docs.openbuilds.com/blackbox - comes with our Support, Warranties, compatible with our free software, runs the official Grbl firmware, etc. We cannot provide tech support for 3rd party controllers running non-standard versions of Grbl.

@Peter Van Der Walt In my case, can you tell me if I should change one of the options in this window( I attach the screen below)? We consider getting a Blackbox if we can't solve the problems. Thanks!

Do we know if your board can run standard Grbl? Do we know if it has an ATmega328p? or an ATmega328PB? Do we know whether they used the Arduino or the OptiBoot bootloader?
So no - can't say for sure and incorrect settings can brick your controller. The 2axes choice is correct but other than that you would have to refer to the vendor you bought from
