    Hi everyone,

I want to upgrade from a Lowrider 2 to a CNC machine based on the Openbuilds design. I noticed that the 1515 machine has a double C-beam compared to the 1010 that only has one. My design would require an X-axis of about 50" and I was wondering if one C-beam would be sufficiently strong.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tom

Checkout How to calculate V-Slot® deflection because it depends on the weight (keep cutting loads in mind too)

Dual beams also resist twist, apart from deflection
