I am doing a home build of a CNC style camera multishot system. The Camera remains stationary, and I'm building a rail system to move paintings in front of the camera. It will have an X-Y system. No Z. I only need to manually move the paintings on the rail system using a D-Pad. I want to be able to control the speed so it doesn't go too fast.

The Y axis will be controlled by two V-slot NEMA 23 linear Actuators with lead screws
The X axis will be controlled by a single NEMA 17 Linear Actuator bundle, Belt driven

It looks to me like this can all be programmed and controlled using a Black Box Motion Control System X32 (sku CP-0005) and an Interface CNC Touch (sku: CP-3100).

Any advice appreciated. I'll find the help I need but I need to build this out physically myself and then figure out how to control it.

It will look like something like this:
