So, my first time posting here, hello everyone I'll try to keep this short. I've been wanting to build a CNC router for some time now, and originally had the idea of basically copying the 4' by 8' CNC router parts design as they seem to use quite readily available parts. Then I discovered this entire world of homebuilt machines and now I'm not so sure my original plan is the best. Part of my problem is I live in New Zealand and shipping+import tax is a killer (obviously I'd like to do this without wasting money). Anyway, my question is, is there a better option for a full sheet sized router available? Preferably one with more detailed drawings/plans available? The problem I have in copying the cncrouterparts design is I can't seem to get designs for the plates they use, so I'd have to draw those up myself. I was planning on getting most of the bits and pieces from China, including the tslot aluminium, as it's cheaper that way, even with the shipping. If anyone has any advice for me, that would be great, thank you
Yes that was my plan. I suppose I could do that, I haven't really been able to find plans for any so far though thats all
