I received my replacement BB Brain board today , and installed it. I am moving again, and thats a good thing.
One issue I’m seeing and I can’t figure out where to set this is the steppers are not locking into place. When I am connected to the controller, power on, I can still manually spin the ball screws by hand. On the old board, I couldn’t move them. It’s almost like the enable is not being set for the spindle controller.

    any idea?

    Thanks!

Grbl settings > $1 Step Idle Delay > set to 255 for always on.
    Refer gnea/grbl

Umm... OK. Don’t remember changing that value. But that fixed it! Thank you for the quick response!! I am back up and running, the same as prior to the break. Now what caused the break, I will dive into. If we could talk off line from here, I would be willing to dive into the board and test to see where it broke.

I wouldn't worry about it. Probably just a dud, thats what warranties are for :)
