I have come up with an application and have drawn out what it should look like. I could really use some one to review the plan with me and help suggest what brackets and plates etc I should consider. I have attached my drawings and I could use answers to the following questions: At the junction of rails A and B: How can i maximize stability? Is it possible to create a right angle carriage plate for added rigidity? Am I better of with a lead screw or belt drive? Can the drive mechanism mount underneath to keep it clean of debris? Drive mechanism: I have drawn this using two motors to move the carriage but can i do so using only one? I was thinking maybe two drive screws and connecting both them via a belt to one motor?
