    Hello,
    I have searched and searched to find this information and I hope that someone can help me finish up the software.

    I just built a jd garage plasma cutter and I am trying to setup the machine configurations. Since there are no limiting switched I need to set it up so that the head or arm do not travel too far. Any suggestions?

    Thank you,

    Dave

    To set travel limits, the machine needs to 'know' where it is.
    For it to know where it is, it needs to be 'homed'.
    For it to be homed, it needs switches at one end of each axis...

    ==> Fit switches.

    Otherwise, just check each time that the job will fit inside the machine's envelope and that the work zero position is correctly set.
