It seems it would be a very nice feature to have a slave mode allowing someone to jog the machine while at the machine and still using the Control software (As its more feature-rich) as the driver.

Features to use the interface with Slave mode enabled:
    1. Jogging
    2. Probing
    3. Starting and Stopping Job

    Not supported or planned.

Interface is meant as a PC replacement.
Use PC to get to learn machine, but in no time you won't even use CONTROL. When you trust your machine you want to walk up with the file, Home, then Jog/Probe (Probe is best!) and Run. 1-2-3 Done!

If you prefer CONTROL use that instead. Nice little 10 inch Windows tablet at the machine... If you get into a productive workflow or multiple machines on the floor each with an Interface, well that's a different flow. Whatever works for you.

Gcode macros yes. Run them like little gcode files. Put them on the usb and name/folder as you wish
