    Hi Guys,

I am currently adding new X Y axis to my machine build for fiber laser marker engraver. I have run into a pickle getting the motors to run. Wiring is good from motor to driver and driver to controller. I am using a 26 pin din breakout board for the serial cable. The rotary is connected and working fine however i when i connected the X axis motor to the pins allocated from controller wiring dia nothing happens. Motor is energize etc. Because the rotary worked fine i took the wiring from its pins and wired into x axis pins , nothing happens so i am thinking those pin may not be getting the 5 volts from the board.
Pin 19 is 5v and pin 23 is grnd. I was thinking of adding a jumper from those pin to Dir + and PUL + etc, my question is am i right in thinking i need 5v to both Dir and PUL ? i just want to clarify before doing anything silly. Thank you
