    Hey yall,

I just upgraded from my mini mill to a workbee 1010..

I opted for the high torque motors and I’m having a hard time getting them to work.. it sounds as if it is trying to turn the lead screw, but not moving at all. Almost like they’re seized Up.. at first I thought maybe it was a wiring problem, but I put on the normal motors from my mini mill on it and it works fine.. any advice on what to try? Settings adjustment? Not enough power?

Which controller are you using? BlackBox will run them fine even at default current setting. XPro needs external drivers, so would help to know what you are running before I'll comment on current setting

Disconnect the motor mechanically (wired up but sitting on desk) and run it, if it doesnt run either its wiring related. Note the older NEMA23s had a different color code than the High Torque motors, so wire according to the datasheet in the High Torque Motors's store listing - its in the image gallery

Thanks for the reply.. I have the black box controller.. so I will check the data sheet and give that a shot.. after reading it, I see 2 phase? Please tell me I wasn’t stupid enough to miss that part and that it will run on normal power on my house.

    thanks again.
