Which ever motor is going the wrong direction, take one pair of the motor wires and switch them around.
I assume that was for a Y axis where it was causing the gantry to rack. If not, you can easily change directions in the grbl settings. You can invert the $3 setting for each axis.
Because thats the normal sound a stepper makes while braked because steppers use pseudo sine waves created by a chopper driver
Thanks, Peter, for the information. Maybe you can help me with the xyz probe. I can't seem to get it to work on the black box 32X. Any help to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated. I have tried everything except reversing the wires. Not sure if it would damage the black box.
