i'm about to start a 1000x1000 workbee. what height did you build the table, and are you happy with it? thanks!
I assembled it at the taller height and immediately took it apart for the lower. I would have been limited to 1/2 inch of workable stock at that height. I have been very happy with the purchase and I am still learning what all I can do with it.
thanks gon, but i mean the height of your bench below the machine. i have already decided i want to lay the 20x80 pieces down, like you say.
I built my rolling bench under my Ox to standard counter height in North America, 36" high. If you're over 6' tall, you may want to make it taller. I might eventually change out my casters for bigger ones to raise it up a bit. Basically, I find that if you have the top of your spoiler board at elbow height or slightly lower it's the most comfortable to work on. I quite often work on my 3D printer on top of my CNC router because I find it a more comfortable height than my work bench. And it's usually less covered in tools than my bench too.
Mine is about this high, as well. I find myself using the spoiler board for a workbench for other projects because it is such a comfortable height.
