While getting to grips with the electronics of the OX build, I notice that the TB6600 is rated at 2.5 amps. How can you tell, before turning it on what the rate is set at and how can you regulate it once the unit is connected to the power source. I can turn the blue box screw clockwise and anti-clockwise, but don't know where to leave it. No doubt there's a simple explanation for how this is done. Perhaps someone could enlighten me. Many thanks Michael.
The actual Toshiba TB6600 chip is rated at 5 Amps (absolute maximum). Alongside your little blue box is there a diagram printed on the PCB which shows the arrow position relating to current setting such as 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5 ?? Tweakie.
So that's what that's for. 0.5 1.5 2.5 3.5 4.5 And the 2 little dots on the top of the blue box denote the arrow in the diagram. As there wasn't a diagram or tech sheet that came with the driver when I bought it, I had no idea that was how you worked it out. I didn't want to turn it on and not know how much juice I was shoving into it. What is the recommended power level to run 1 x 17 & 3 x 23s stepper motors for the OX build. Thanks for the heads up Tweakie. Michael.
